A YEAR TO REMEMBER
What can I say about the past year — and about the unprecedented challenges society has faced — that hasn’t already been said? The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken our spirits and transformed our lives, but it has also revealed extraordinary resilience and creativity. In the Cockrell School, students have rallied together like never before, faculty and staff have reimagined the classroom experience, and researchers have answered the call for new solutions that protect health care workers and save lives. I am proud to present this new issue of Texas Engineer magazine, which celebrates the amazing ingenuity of our Cockrell School community and illustrates the impact that we continue to have on the world. I hope you enjoy it.
